A Farm Visit

On the weekend, we visited Judy and Don's dairy farm. They have a 60 cow operation just outside of Robertson. The setting is very picturesque and the girls loved all the animals they got to see and interact with! We arrived just in time for milking.

McKenna said we had to take a picture of the cows for Grandma because they are her favorite kind!

It was very interesting for the girls.

Then it was time to feed the calves and the sheep. Brooklyn was scared to get in there but McKenna was very brave. Blakely got her foot sucked when Mommy got her too close to a hungry calf!

Then it was off to gather eggs from the chooks (which is Aussie for chickens).

Our last animal was the pony...this was Brookie's favorite!

It was a great day at the farm!

Saturday in Sydney!!

We headed into Sydney for the day, choosing to drive which was an adventure in itself! We only got lost about 5 times and probably will have to pay $50 worth of tolls but it was worth it! We went down to Circular Quay and jumped on a ferry to Watsons Bay. Here are some pictures of the harbour and Sydney from the boat.

At Watson's Bay we stopped and had fish and chips from Doyles Takeaway and ate it in the shade of a huge, cool tree. We enjoyed watching all the sailboats in the harbour.

Then back to Circular Quay and over to the Sydney Opera House...it is an amazing structure to see in person! We walked all around the building and took so many pictures at different angles...this is just a few of them...

We spent a couple of hours walking around in the Botanical Gardens. David was running from tree to tree to find out what species they were. The girls were climbing trees, chasing birds and looking for fruit bats! The weather was so beautiful, we felt like we were in paradise.

We will leave you with this picture of us getting lost...we are about to cross over the harbour bridge heading north. We wanted to go south from downtown and not be anywhere near the bridge...oops!!

Hope everyone is well, keep in touch!!
